About This Project

I unwittingly found myself a specialist in making wonky vegetable costumes.

It seems it is easy to buy a cosmetically perfect vegetable from many a fancy dress supplier, but once again the wonderful wonky ones are shunned.

Making a ‘wonky’ costume can be a great excuse to cover up a plethora of wonky stitches and to get the glue gun out but it has also thrown up some interesting creative challenges.

How do I depart from the stereotype cartoon appearance and still make sure it looks like the anthropomorphised fruit or vegetable in question?
What features are the essence of its horticultural identity?
